High Desert Heart & Vascular Enhances Remote Cardiac Device Monitoring
While our remote monitoring program is expanding, your care remains close to home with the physicians you know at High Desert Heart & Vascular.
Effective September 1, 2026
High Desert Heart & Vascular is pleased to announce an enhancement to our remote monitoring program for patients with implantable cardiac devices, including pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs), and loop recorders.
Beginning September 1, 2026, we are partnering with Cardiac RMS, a team of trained and certified cardiac monitoring specialists dedicated to remote cardiac device monitoring.
This partnership will allow for more consistent review of information transmitted by your cardiac device and timely identification of important changes, alerts, or potential device issues.
Your cardiac care remains with High Desert Heart & Vascular
While Cardiac RMS will assist with remote device monitoring and technical support, your medical care and treatment will continue to be managed by your physicians at High Desert Heart & Vascular.
Dr. Noonan and Dr. Mozes will continue to oversee your cardiac care, and you will continue to see us in the clinic for your regularly scheduled appointments.
Cardiac RMS may contact you if a scheduled transmission is not received from your device. If this happens, a monitoring specialist can help you reconnect your device and guide you through sending a transmission.
Cardiac RMS provides monitoring and device support; decisions regarding your medical care remain with your High Desert Heart & Vascular physician.
What patients may notice on insurance statements
Because Cardiac RMS provides the technical component of remote device monitoring, you may begin seeing both Cardiac RMS and High Desert Heart & Vascular listed on your insurance Explanation of Benefits (EOB).
Cardiac RMS may be listed as providing the technical monitoring service.
High Desert Heart & Vascular will be listed as providing the professional service associated with your cardiac care and interpretation of your device information.
Depending on your insurance plan, you may continue to be responsible for a copayment, coinsurance, or deductible. This has not changed.
A note for Blue Cross Blue Shield patients
The amount shown as patient responsibility on your BCBS Explanation of Benefits may differ from the statement you receive from Cardiac RMS. The amount you are actually responsible for may be lower than the amount initially shown on your EOB. Please refer to your Cardiac RMS statement for the amount due.
If your insurance company sends you a reimbursement check
Some private insurance companies may send reimbursement for the Cardiac RMS portion of your monitoring directly to you rather than to Cardiac RMS.
