Have you taken the plunge?

Dr Daniel Noonan, MD, MBA, co-founder and electrophysiologist, of High Desert Heart & Vascular recently spoke with reporter Roland Beres about the new trend of taking ice baths. Beres, like many of us, know someone or personally take the plunge into a cold bath to reap the health benefits.

“The effects of this are real,” says Dr. Daniel Noonan. Dr. Noonan also does the cold plunge. “I think commonly people see decreased mental stress, increased mental clarity, and improvement in baseline heart rate.”

Is there anyone who shouldn’t cold plunge? While it is safe for most people at reasonable temperatures and times, it’s always important to check with your doctor before submerging yourself.
